It’s been a couple of weeks since I blogged so I thought I’d put together a short post consisting of some bits I’ve bought recently for Spring/Summer. None of these outfits are difficult to style, so these are what I consider go-to outfits I can just throw on and head out for the day! As today is my day off I'm wearing no makeup and looking considerably un-glam but I took some photos anyway. Enjoy!

Item #1: A super cute tea dress

I just bought this from PLT and I am in love! You can tie inside AND outside so it wraps over perfectly to fit your body shape, so this means it sits so well on you. The wrap-over style is so elegant and clearly the colours in this dress are stunning! I teamed it with some brown low-heeled sandals and this PLT wooden structured bag - but you could wear this dress with some white chunky trainers, or even with heels for the evening time! I won’t be wearing this anytime soon though, unfortunately, as it’s definitely more of a summertime piece - but I can’t wait to wear it out in the sun! This is my fifth tea dress to purchase because they’re SO easy to wear, you don’t need to worry much about accessories to style it with because the focus will always be on the dress! Super easy to just throw on on a sunny day and get outside ASAP.

Shop this PLT dress here for €32 (or €24 when you apply their 25% discount) - I bought a size 8 and it's true to size, a 6 would've fit fine too but I was worried about the length of it so I went with the 8!

[Bag from PLT unfortunately now out of stock]

Item #2: A gorgeous daisy-print midi length cami

I bought this dress in Penneys recently (still available - €16!) and it’s absolutely my favourite addition to my wardrobe so far this Spring! I couldn’t resist it because of the daisy print (one of my faves and sadly I don’t see much of it around), but after I bought it I realised how amazing an investment this dress was because I could wear this all year round! You can see above that I've dressed it up and down by changing the shoes and accessories for each look. I can't even decide which I prefer because the dress is unreal both ways! Any pair of sandals or chunky runners look fab with this dress but it's the accessories that define the look as dressy or casual. For a dressier look I'd wear the dress belted to cinch in the waist for a more feminine look, with some gold jewellery and a nice bag. But if I was just wearing it for a normal day out I'd probably go belt-free to feel extra comfy, ear minimal accessories and use whatever bag I need for the day!

Below you can see other ways I've styled the dress, and these are just some of the ways you could wear it - the possibilities are honestly endless. My fave is probably where I've tucked it underneath to wear it at a mini length with some vans. I think this would be super handy if you were too warm on a Summery day and wanted to cool down! Another thing you could do which I haven't photopgraphed here, is layer the dress over a (not too chunky) knit jumper during Autumn/Winter and pair it with boots like Doc Martens or some heeled boots. FYI, I bought a size 6 in this dress and it fits perfectly.

Item #3: Another adorable tea dress

I picked this piece up in Zara on South King Street this weekend because I instantly fell in love when I spotted it! I think cherries are such a cute print on anything and OF COURSE a pink and red combo is a guilty pleasure of mine so this dress was perfect for me at only €19.95. The good thing about this is you can just pull it over you and you're ready, there's no wrap-over part to tie yourself. Even though I do love a wrap-over style, a dress that involves no trial-and-error tying up to make it sit right is always a winner. The neckline on this is quite high so there's no cleavage visible so definitely a plus if you don't like to show your chest too much, or if you wanted to wear it to work. For me the shape of the chest area kinda takes away from the dress because I think a rounder, deeper V on the neckline area tends to look much better on me. BUT this dress was so cheap I didn't care about that in the end, it's still an all-rounder in my eyes because the colours are right down my street and tea dresses are always very flattering no matter what shoes, jacket or bag you pair with them. Honestly I don't see myself wearing this anytime other than a hot day/evening because it's quite light but I KNOW this is something I'll wear repeatedly because of how cute and feminine it is - it's VERY me lol. You can buy this dress from Zara here, or in store! I bought a size XS, true to size I find.

Item #4: A highly comfy pair of wide-leg trousers

Also from Penneys are these beautiful polka-dot trousers, which I got for only €10! Not many people wear wide leg trousers as much as I do during summer but I swear once you start you can't stop - they're so comfy and stylish! I actually bought these instead of a jumpsuit in the exact same colour and polka-dot print, also in Penneys. I LOVE the jumpsuit (which features some buttons down the front of the chest, I think it costs €16-€18) but I realised I wear trousers much more than jumpsuits every summer so I went with these. I just think these could be worn anywhere, during day or night and will always look glam! I paired them with some strappy nude sandals (€16 from Penneys too but sold out in most stores now) and two different puff-sleeve tops. I think these trousers would go with any white/nude/cream/beige top and looks fab topped off with some brown or gold accessories, which is why I chose the wooden structured bag again. These are also something I know I'll be wearing for years to come from Spring to Autumn constantly. Such good value! I bought a size 6 in these and they are quite tight on the waist (but definitely still wearable). Maybe go a size up in these as you can tie the waist tighter anyway!

[Cream puff sleeved blouse - Nastygal but now out of stock]

Okay so that brings us to the end of this quick wardrobe update! I bought a lot more things recently but I just wanted to feature four items at a time to make it short and sweet and I wanted to show how easy some basic things are to wear in different ways. Let me know what you thought and if there's anything you'd like to see next!

Thanks so much for reading as always.

Love,

Aisling
